We are deeply saddened by the loss of Marty. We will miss seeing his smile as he was often outside working on the landscaping or in the garage. I will miss our little chats about Roanie and Max...

Marty and his wife Joanne were charter members of the Young Onset Parkinson's Support Group of SE Michigan affiliated with the Michigan Parkinson Foundation.) MiYOPD was the first Support Group in Michigan dedicated to the support of those affected by Young Onset Parkinson's disease.
MiYOPD members offer our condolences to Joanne and to the rest of Marty's family. Marty's behavior was a case study on how to live a productive life in the daily presence of pain. He was a beacon of courage for those who knew him. He will be missed.

We've had the privilege of knowing Marty and Joanne for the past four years through MiYOPD. You couldn't ask to know better people. Despite his many challenges, Marty never complained about what life dealt him, and he showed us how to lead a full life with his family and friends. We are saddened by the loss of our dear friend, and our hearts and prayers go out to Joanne and their family during this difficult time.

We have known Marty and Joanne for only four short years through MiYOPD. One couldn't ask to know two better people than them, and we are blessed to have been included among their many friends. Despite the challenges Marty faced each day, he never complained about the hand life had dealt him, and he lived life to the fullest. Marty was a wonderful husband, father, and friend--and so much more--and the world is a much better place because of him. He will be sorely missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to Joanne and all of the family during this difficult time.
We just sent the third comment and forgot to sign our name.

Marty was a great man and leader. He saved my ass many times. Being stern was his job, but he went so much farther than that, he was my friend. Protecting myself and others.
Thoughts and Prayers are with the family.

It was my good fortune to meet Marty in 1980 while working at Entech. I was new to the business and didn't know much about drafting. Marty was always there to help if I had a question. I considered it a privelege to work in the same drafting room with him. Thanks Marty! You were the best! Gary Federle
